Oops! I am going on vacation in May

I've already hit a snag with my plan for May. I have a planned trip away with my boyfriend. We have an airbnb booked, and will be driving about 100 miles away. Not the most frugal plan, nor an ideal time, financially. It does allow us to spend extra time together which has been severely limited by my school and work schedule.

Trip costs:
  • Airbnb: $112 (There is a kitchen and some breakfast is included.)
  • Gas: $66 (budgeted for 120 miles, at $0.55/mile)
  • Food: $40 (I plan to bring a lot of food, especially for breakfast and lunch. This will cover a couple of meals out, I hope.)
  • Activities: $10 (I'm not sure what we're planning to do yet. This could be for a punk show.)
Total: $228

Before even remembering about the trip, I decided to sell $1,000 of stock to cover my rent next month and pay of my credit card ($605.) I wasn't going to have enough for rent, and it was going to take me a long time to pay the bill. Now I can knock them both out, and then amass some extra cash in my account by cutting my spending.
